HardlyScribe provides transcript tools for public YouTube captions and uploaded audio/video. The current product does not require an account.

YouTube links and transcripts

When you submit a YouTube URL, the service requests publicly available video metadata and caption tracks so it can return a transcript. Do not submit private, confidential, or restricted videos unless you have the right to process them.

Uploaded files

When you upload audio or video, the file is sent to our transcription provider to generate transcript text. Do not upload sensitive, private, confidential, or restricted recordings unless you have permission and accept that third-party processing is required for transcription.

Payments

Founder Pro payments are handled through PayPal during beta. PayPal processes payment details under its own terms and privacy policy. If you email a receipt or support request, we use that information to provide manual support.

Advertising

This site is designed to be supported by advertising. Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on visits to this site or other sites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on visits to sites on the Internet. Users may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings.

Cookies and analytics

Advertising and analytics partners may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses, or similar identifiers for ad serving, frequency capping, aggregated reporting, and abuse prevention where permitted by law.
